Building a Smart Local Food System

Join food sector peers in this collaborative initiative to discuss the need for infrastructure that will support increased local food production and fish availability, more local processing, and improved distribution systems across the Capital Region Attend virtually on 8 November 2022 - 9am – noon and 9 November 2022 - 1 – 4:30pm Keynote address: What food system change can mean to BC and in the global context with Dr. Tammara Soma, Co-founder and Director of the Food Research Lab at Simon Fraser University. We will build on the results of the unique 2022 survey report, Building a Sustainable Local Food Supply Chain in the Capital Region of BC: A Capacity Assessment (attached) to identify priority actions that will make the changes we need to create a smart local food system.
